Edith Lecourt

“Echo is an automatic, dehumanized response, which breaks any relation...The interpretation that is given, presents echo as a punishment, a conviction which, through speech reaches the true essence of human beings, making it meaningless. Elusive, inaccessible, Echo is everywhere, it haunts us."

Quote Edith Lecourt, "Le Sonore er les limites du soui" Bulletin de psychologie, 36, no. 360 (1983), 577-82

  2. echo detaches the word from the author, hence emancipates the author from meaning, meaning that, once detached/echoed, the author needs to find another point.
the chase again : an author with a point is in need of its manifest otherwise she's stuck - author chases manifest. author takes action in order to manifest meaning via speech, the echo being the proof for the manifest - author chases echo -, providing the author with a sense of relief and/or narcissistic success, immediately forcing him to find a new point in order to remain an author - author chases meaning - which then requires manifestation via speech, the echo being the proof for the manifest - author chases echo -, providing the author with a sense of relief and/or narcissistic success, immediately forcing her to find a new point in order to remain an author - author chases meaning - which then requires manifestation via speech, the echo being the proof for the manifest - author chases echo - [ - ]
